Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Sidekick Vet platform and services operated by PupPilot Corp. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and is incorporated by reference. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

1. Intended Use

Sidekick Vet is designed to connect pet owners with licensed veterinary professionals for teletriage consultations regarding their own pets. You may use the Services only for their intended purpose: seeking veterinary guidance for animals in your care.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Seek controlled substances. You may not use the platform to obtain or attempt to obtain controlled substances, including but not limited to opioids, benzodiazepines, or other DEA-scheduled medications. Veterinarians on the platform will not prescribe controlled substances through telehealth consultations.
  • Provide false information. You may not misrepresent your pet's species, breed, weight, symptoms, medical history, or any other information relevant to the consultation. Providing false information may result in inappropriate guidance that could harm your pet.
  • Misrepresent your identity or location. You may not use the Services from a state or jurisdiction where the requested services are not available, or misrepresent your location to access services not authorized in your area.
  • Abuse or harass veterinary professionals. You may not use threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing language toward any veterinarian, veterinary technician, or support staff. This includes verbal abuse during video or audio consultations and written abuse in chat or follow-up messages.
  • Record consultations without consent. You may not record, screenshot, or otherwise capture your consultation without the express consent of the veterinary professional. Where consultations are recorded by the platform for quality assurance, you will be notified and your consent obtained.
  • Use the service for emergencies. You may not use the Services as a substitute for emergency veterinary care. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening condition, you must seek immediate in-person veterinary attention.
  • Seek care for animals you do not own or have authority over. You may only use the Services for animals legally in your custody, care, or control. You may not use the platform on behalf of third parties without their knowledge and consent.
  • Use the service for non-veterinary purposes. The platform is for veterinary consultations only. You may not use it for general conversation, non-animal-related questions, or purposes unrelated to pet health.
  • Attempt to circumvent platform controls. You may not attempt to bypass geographic restrictions, payment requirements, consultation limits, or any other technical or operational controls on the platform.
  • Resell or redistribute the service. You may not resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Services to third parties for commercial purposes.
  • Interfere with the platform. You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the operation of the platform, including through denial-of-service attacks, injection of malicious code, unauthorized access to systems, or any form of hacking or security exploitation.

3. Content Standards

Any content you share through the platform — including messages, photos, videos, and files — must comply with the following standards:

  • Must be relevant to your pet's health and the consultation
  • Must not contain obscene, offensive, or sexually explicit material
  • Must not contain content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activity
  • Must not infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Must not contain viruses, malware, or other harmful files

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Sidekick Vet account. You agree to:

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others
  • Use a strong, unique password for your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@puppilot.co (subject: [Sidekick Vet]) if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • Not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions or abusing the service

5. Consequences of Violation

If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily suspend your access to the Services
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Report the conduct to law enforcement or relevant authorities if we believe a violation of law has occurred
  • Pursue any other remedies available under our Terms of Service or applicable law

Account termination for AUP violations is non-refundable. You will not receive a refund for any prepaid services if your account is terminated due to a violation of this policy.

6. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience conduct that violates this policy, please report it to us at support@puppilot.co with [Sidekick Vet] in the subject line. All reports will be reviewed and investigated.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
