Sidekick Vet ("Sidekick Vet," "we," "our," or "us") is operated by PupPilot Corp. We collect personal data as part of providing our veterinary teletriage services ("Services"). By using or accessing our Services, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your information as described herein.
These privacy practices are part of our broader Terms of Service, which govern your use of our Services. By using our Services, you also agree to be bound by our Terms of Service, including our rules regarding eligibility, acceptable use, payment, dispute resolution, and arbitration. Please review both documents carefully.

4. How We Use Your Information

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Data.

Pet Vet Connection, LLC
Your consultation data, pet information, and contact details are shared with Pet Vet Connection and their licensed veterinarians to deliver the veterinary telehealth services you request. Pet Vet Connection operates the telehealth platform and employs the veterinarians who conduct your consultations. This is a core function of our Services and cannot be opted out of while using the consultation features.
Service Providers
We share data with service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment processing: Stripe processes your payment information.
- Hosting and infrastructure: Cloud service providers that host our website and store data.

Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sidekick Vet, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
Business Transfers
If Sidekick Vet is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your information.
6. Consultation Recordings and Records
Veterinary teletriage consultations conducted through our platform may be recorded (video and/or text chat). These recordings and transcripts are:
- Used to generate visit summaries and next-step guidance for your reference
- Stored securely by Pet Vet Connection as the primary custodian of the veterinary record
- Copied to Sidekick Vet — Pet Vet Connection sends us a copy of all consultation records, which we retain indefinitely in our systems as part of your account history
- Accessible to the consulting veterinarian and authorized Pet Vet Connection staff for service delivery, and to authorized Sidekick Vet personnel for account support and service improvement
Because Sidekick Vet retains consultation records indefinitely, you can request copies of your past consultations at any time through your account or by contacting us, even if significant time has passed since the consultation.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activity on our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.
Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Can You Opt Out? |

8. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. | Analytics and device data | 24 months |
| Communications preferences | Duration of your account |
When you request deletion of your account, we will delete your account data and personal profile within 30 days. However, consultation records will be retained for the minimum period described above, as required by veterinary record retention laws. After the retention period expires, records will be securely destroyed.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Access controls limiting who can view your data to authorized personnel only

We require Pet Vet Connection to maintain comparable security measures for data processed on our behalf.
